God’s Reminder.
Sunday morning was a day I will never forget. The car flipped, rolled, and finally came to a stop near the edge of a woodsy area. Snow covered the ground, and the cold air bit into my skin as I hung upside down in the seat, surrounded by the smell of burning and the sound of creaking metal. It felt like something out of a movie, but it was all too real. I knew I had to act fast. With no time to panic, I unbuckled myself and started crawling through the wrecked car, feeling my way around the broken glass and twisted metal. I tapped on the windows, trying to find a way out, but none would budge.
Then I realized my door was the only one that could open. Summoning all my strength, I pushed it open and pulled myself out into the freezing air. The snow crunched under my hands and knees as I turned back to help the passenger. They were unconscious, and I knew I couldn’t leave them behind. With everything in me, I managed to pull them out of the car and drag us both away from the wreck. My only focus was getting us to safety. Once we were clear, I called for emergency services. Within minutes, help arrived, and we were on our way to the hospital in an ambulance.
I’ve always lived by the phrase, “Another Day, Another Opportunity,” and this experience reminded me why it’s so important. Walking away from such a terrible accident with only scratches and bruises felt like a miracle. Life has been teaching me since I was nine years old just how short it can be. That’s why my mantra, Dedicated On Purpose Everyday, means so much to me. It’s not just a saying; it’s a way of living. I believe God was protecting me that day, just as He has many times before, often in ways I can’t fully explain.
This crash has only strengthened my resolve to live with purpose. It’s a wake-up call to work harder, dream bigger, and make every moment count. Whether I’m creating art, mentoring young people, or building something meaningful, I know I have no time to waste. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, and I want to use every day to make a difference. Standing in the snow that morning, pulling someone to safety, I felt the weight of how precious life is. Now, I carry that feeling with me in everything I do.
This accident wasn’t the end of my story—it was a reminder of why my story matters. I’m grateful to be here and determined to honor this second chance. To anyone reading this, let my experience remind you: life is a gift. Chase your dreams, live with purpose, and appreciate every moment you have. Every day is an opportunity to be Dedicated On Purpose Everyday and to leave the world better than you found it.
